Pandemic or Plandemic?

I don't know about you all where you live, but I'm getting sick and tired of "sheltering in place".    As the death toll from Covid 19 approaches 200,000 here in the U.S., there is talk about shutting down the economy again and putting the U.S. another $5 - 10 trillion further into debt.

I remember as a kid living through the Asian flu in the late 50's and having measles (both kinds), mumps, and chickenpox because there were no vaccines at the time.  Millions of Americans of all age brackets and ethnic groups died of the Asian flu.  Thousands of children died or suffered permanent disability (e.g., blindness, deafness) from measles and mumps. I knew several children and adults that were permanently disabled by polio.  Yet the national (or world) economy wasn't shut down.  People weren't ordered to stay home and wear masks.  Schools weren't closed down for moths at a time.  Holidays weren't cancelled. In fact, when we had chickenpox, some parents brought their young children over to our house to play with us so their kids would get chickenpox as well; and get it over with.

I understand that coronavirus is very real and VERY contagious, and a significant risk to certain segments of the population. I've always been a proponent of "if you're sick, stay home."  But IMHO, what has been (and continues) going on IMHO is overreaction. IMHO, this could be an experiment by globalists to see just how many restrictions people are willing to put up with. Alternatively, it could be a segue into putting together a world government to manage this terrible scourge.  Do they even consider the longer term impacts of what they are doing - the suicides, depression, household violence, bankruptcies, commercial real-estate crash, possible residential real estate collapse, etc.?  I wouldn't be surprised if the next move isn't to declare paper money "filthy and contaminated", forcing all transactions to be made electronically.

Why is it okay for protesters to run wild, beating people up burning down businesses, looting stores, etc., while law-abiding citizens on their own property trying to defend their homes or businesses from these godless punks are arrested for weapons violations.  They never fired a single shot!

When I look at these things, I can't help but think that "the beginning or sorrows" is almost at an end; and the Tribulation is just around the corner.  Not date-setting; it's just a feeling.  Everyone is angry about something; and people are prohibited from interacting personally (Skype and Zoom are a poor substitute); and shamed or even penalized for not wearing a mask or for going the wrong way in the grocery store aisle.  What an ingenious way to implement "the love of many will grow cold"!  Who thought that the "wild beasts" who tear apart people in the end days would be microscopic?

My wife and I believe it is a social experiment to see how many of our freedoms can be taken away in the name of health and security before people revolt.  Things will never be the same as they were 6 months ago.  For example, many people will probably wear masks in the forceable future. Many restaurants and bars will close forever (e.g., Sweet Tomatoes).  Dentistry has become a huge challenge. Church services are still severely restricted.  I heard a report today that suicides, domestic violence, divorce, and depression are skyrocketing.

On and on it goes.  Now it appears that we are headed for another shutdown.  No school in the fall. Restaurants, barber shops, beauty salons, gyms, and many other small businesses (and some large ones) shutting down - over 50% never to open again.  more than 30% of the population un- or under-employed.  People avoiding each other.  Deaths of anyone who has been exposed to Covid added to Covid death tolls.  Airlines and hotels going bankrupt. Another $2 trillion in stimulus (aka free) money printed by our already bankrupt government.  Coming soon - negative interest rates which allow the government to get paid for borrowing more money.

Who's gonna pay for all this?  We are.  Also coming soon - a cashless society.  Money if filthy and spreads disease.  Mandated vaccinations without which you will not be allowed to travel or send your kids to school (assuming schools ever reopen).; or even go to a public workplace.  Tracking our every move to ensure social distancing (along with everyplace you go). DNA altering implants or vaccines.

If the end of time is not upon us, it certainly must be close.

I don't doubt that there could be all kinds of issues behind all of this!  Meanwhile, I'm really torn as to what my attitude is/should be on the whole mask issue.  Should we just go along with the crowds on this?  I hear things like if you don't wear one in public you are being selfish and unloving of others.  And is anybody attending church where they are now mandatory?

What do you mean "go along" with the crowds?? Seems to me people are dying left and right!! For a country that should be leading the way we are actually looking like fools!!

What do the Drs say? All the CDC, Dr Fauci, Dr Brix all say to help stop this c-19 we should. Look at the other countries that are now looking pretty good, all there people are wearing masks and they have gotten over the first wave, and if all goes well they might stay that way.

Not sure that going is mandatory. Our church has been open for about 3 weeks and I've been going, they check our temp before we go in, but I've seen or heard something the other day that just your temp doesn't tell the whole story. Also everyone is wearing there masks and they've set it up so everyone is seating pretty much about 6 feet apart. All those other churches where they got so close and no mask wearing many have gotten the virus and even at one church a pastor has died. Saw a chart of Israel that started opening up there schools on May 17 and there spike of infection has now sky rocketed!! So stay safe and please for you and others wear your mask and keep your distance!! Have a blessed and happy Sabbath!

Are we sick of sheltering in place? You bet! It is my husband and myself and we moved our 96 year-old grandmother in to stay with us. This has not been a joy. We no longer watch our television shows (we watch MeTV and a lot of "bird" and other animal shows now). We don't get to listen to our own music. We can't go to bed at a regular hour (as she's up at any and all hours of the day/night). It's been joy-less.

Our grown children moved out of our house last year (so lucky they got out in time). But it's been miserable not being able to see them in person. We were close with them. Visiting at least once a week. Now, it's via computer only--at best once every two or three weeks. I miss hearing their stories, their struggles, and helping them with building their lives. 

My mother lives 5 states away from us. She's been in the hospital for heart problems and now needs surgery. I am the eldest of 3 children and I've always been the caregiver among the siblings.  It's killing me that I haven't been able to be with my mother to help her through all the doctors appointments and making medical decisions. As of last night, I got word that her friends have helped her navigate the system to get her transferred to a hospital near me so that I can start my care giving with her too. 

We've been spending the past couple of days getting our house ready for another person to live here (my mom). So, soon, it'll be my husband, my grandmother (96), and my mother with heart problems. 

In the meantime, my son has been working on his plans to get married in October. This whole virus has thwarted their plans at every turn. The numbers of invitations were cut back, the plans for music/dancing were nixed--no longer a buffet setting. He's still waiting on the wedding ring itself to arrive. Each person in the wedding party has to make separate appointments to be fitted for dresses/suits, etc. The rehearsal dinner has a limited capacity and a limited menu. There will be masks in the photos.

Back to the virus. 

My family has all these "co-morbidities":

• heart disease (3 of us)
• diabetes (4 of us--the all the same as above)
• asthma (4)
• sleep apnea (2)
• elderly (4)
• A negative blood types (4)

We have been socially isolated since March 17. By my count, that's about 120+ days. We have not gone out of the house for anything but a walk, a bike ride, a drive; and to shop for groceries at outdoor markets. We use drive through service at the pharmacist. We have had only tele-medicine with my grandmother's diabetic doctor (she used to go to a doctor on average at least once a month). 

We don't visit with neighbors or family. 

We work from home.

We worship from home.

We wear masks.

We wait 3 days to open the newspaper and the mail.

We wash all our groceries.

We shower if we've been to the market.

 

We hate it. We want it to be over. 

Yesterday, we heard a podcast talking about the length of time it would take for the virus to be eradicated *if* everyone would cooperate. SIX WEEKS. If everyone would have been responsible enough, we could have been back to a "normal" life by the end of April. That was 2 1/2 months ago. The number of people suffering from job loss, depression, mental instabilty, and various health conditions that have gone untreated would have been decreased. 

The only way this will end without a vaccination is for people to stop spreading mis-information and to take it the virus seriously. Masks help, but staying away from others helps even more.

From my perspective, the question of whether or not this is government control and a push for a new world order doesn't even matter as long as the virus is active. 

From my perspective, the question of whether or not take it seriously and wear a mask is moot. 

Wear a mask now so we can all get back to living our lives again.

I'm torn as well.  I do believe that the virus is real and extremely contagious.  I will comply with the mandatory directive in my state to wear a mask in public, even though I think wearing a mask is inherently unhealthy for me - breathing my own germs and CO2 back into my body., and the air moves around the side of my masks instead of through it.  Our brick and mortar church remains closed; so we're doing Zoom church.  I'm not crazy about it.  Attendance has dropped precipitously and tithes and offereings are practically non-existent.  I can't go see my kids and grandkids without being in danger of being quarantined for two weeks.

If this "plandemic" continues much longer - especially of kids can't go back to school in the fall, the mental, emotional, and economic impact of the shutdown will be far worse than the plandemic itself.  The longer it goes on, the closer we will come to the prophesied one-world government.

Amen! We have a mentally disturbed 42 year-old son living with us that is a constant worry with his psychotic delusions.  We can't move him out of the house because of the @#$% Covid restrictions.  His craziness is becoming contagious.  It's making us crazy!

I know what you mean Morwenna, we have two grand kids that we are raising, or should I say trying to raise!! So these past months have been really challenging!! Can't wait for school to start, but with the virus increasing here in Florida, I'm not sure it's such a good idea?? Also reading what has happen in Israel when they opened there schools back in May, it doesn't look like things have been good for them!! Anyway it's to bad we didn't do what needed to be done right away and not spend months, weeks and days saying it's all fake!! Anyway stay safe and yes lets wear those masks as all other countries that have been opening up and doing good so far!!
