Met a street  gang member type once, little guy, looked weak, had huge tattoos on his body, the big dark kind with little artistic value. Naturally went into judgment mode. His aunt was a blond, blued eyed Chicana who knew her way around East Los Angeles. She had no problem cursing the Latinos she over heard cracking on the "white whore." She informed me that this boy had  his mother murdered right in front of him when he was younger. I told her and her son about the great services that the ICOC  [International Church of Christ]was having at the Wiltern theatre on some Sunday's. Her son, who was dying of AIDS, said he wanted to go. He didn't make it until the next Sunday.
