The above must be ancient history. In 2004, it's true that Canada was our largest single foreign source of oil, followed by Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Nigeria, Iraq, Angola, Kuwait, UK, Algeria, Russia, Norway, all the way down to #37 Thailand at 1000 barrels/d. Out of 10,088,000 (could this be correct?) barrels/day that the US imports, only 2,400,000 come from the Persian Gulf. This info from the EIA, a gov't agency. Gerry Quote
