Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted August 26, 2021 Moderators Posted August 26, 2021 I plan to start a new thread here based upon the work of Reindeer Bruinsma. However, today I had my eyes injected and my vision is not up to producing written material. so, I am going to wait to post, probably tomorrow. In the mean time, I am going to lock this thread so that others can not post here. But, I will later open it up. NOTE: My material comes in part from both Adventist Today and from Spectrum. I think it would be well to give some background information on Reindeer: * His Ph.D. dissertation; "A Historical Analysis of Seventh-day Adventist Attitudes toward Roman Catholicism" (University of London, 1993), published by Andrews University Press in 1995 as Adventist Attitudes toward Roman Catholicism, 1844-1866. [Spectrum] * He is an academic who has served as a SDA pastor and on higher levels of the SDA denomination. * "Reinder Bruinsma lives in the Netherlands with his wife, Aafje. He has served the Adventist Church in various assignments in publishing, education and church administration on three continents, his last post before retiring as president of the Netherlands Union. He still maintains a busy schedule of preaching, teaching and writing. His latest book is I Have a Future: Christ’s Resurrection and Mine." [Adventist Today]. * A brief statement on his views on this subject can be found in the 1999 article in Spectrum, at: Bruinsma.pdf (kinstacdn.com) Quote Gregory
