Jerry Remy dies at 68: Former Boston Red Sox player spent 34 seasons as NESN analyst

Remy, who threw out the first pitch before the American League Wild Card Game at Fenway Park on Oct. 5, announced he was stepping away Aug. 4 to receive treatment for cancer.
