It just shocked me what people were saying we believed in when we don't. For example one person said we were crazy because we predicted that Christ would come in 1844 and then when that didn't come true we tried to cover it up with our sanctuary theory. It just baffles me when people act like they know what they're talking about when they don't even know their history. The SDA church wasn't even formed yet when that happend. And then another person said that it was Ellen White who came up with the idea and that's why she's a false prophet. She was just learning about her calling when this happened. Anyways it's really sad how so many people are misguided about what we believe and those SDA bashing websites out there don't help. People are more willing to take the info on those sites as fact rather than going to the source...i.e. our fundamental beliefs. I don't even try to argue with them because they can get so hostile! What irritates me is ex-Adventists who make videos about Adventism lying through their teeth saying things they KNOW are untrue because of bitterness towards the church. We just have to pray for these lost souls that they will come back to the truth and stop spreading lies. Most anti-Adventist comments I have come across, especially about Ellen White, are taken out of context. I always read what was said before and after any quote I see. Only then will you be able to understand the meaning. Quote

I try to find the 'Root" of thir bitterness and then address that. It is usually an over-reaction. But I just try to understand and sympathize. It is hard on all of us when we are hurt. This is very true but most of her writings are from compiliations. This makes it hard to read in context. It would appear that the compilers have an agenda and want to hide the context.
