There are massive cultural differences over there that feed into this as well. In a manner of speaking they are still evolving - they'll catch up eventually.

Some gay guys in the States love being in prison. For them it is like landing on big rock candy mountain. One obviously gay young man attended the prison chapel for a time. His presence was an annoyance to most of the other men. There was some discussion as to what should be done about him. Seemed to be general agreement that his presence was disruptive. It was decided that since the chapel program was for the benefit of the inmates, they should decide how to manage the situation. After that discussion, he never returned and I never saw him again.

So, that is interesting. "Any other sexual identity". What are you going to do with "minor attracted persons" (aka pedophiles)? Shall we welcome them into the church while still practicing their "identities"?

Oh heavens! Let's not call sin by it's right name. Someone's feelings might get hurt. However, I suspect it will not hurt as much as burning in hell fire.
