SMAN Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I can only imagine what their parents initial response was... and some people still wonder why parents sometimes have nervous break downs. (It was probably Dad's fault)! Quote
Fran Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I've been looking for you for days in HUMOR! SMAN, I have truly missed your humor. Welcome back! I have really, really missed you!    Quote The greatest want of the world is the want of men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true & honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is as true to duty..., men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.{Ed 57.3}
Administrators Gail Posted August 8, 2006 Administrators Posted August 8, 2006 Man, that must have been fun! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
cricket Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I love the fact that the little ones are smiling and that there was someone with sense good enough to know it was a picture-worthy moment!!! Love it! Quote
Barbara Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Yes it cute and all, but all I can think is the poor mother that is going to have to deal with cleaning the mess up. Quote .....Love others as well as you love yourself. Matt 22:39 (The Message Bible)
cricket Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 My grandmother used to always tell us to leave our mess when we'd visit. When I finally asked her why, it was because she said it gave her something to do and it helped to treasure the time we had together. Yes, it'll be a dreaded mess for this poor father to have clean up, but in the end, he'll have quite a memory to treasure always! Quote
Moderators Gerr Posted August 8, 2006 Moderators Posted August 8, 2006 Their smile probably disappeared shortly after the picture was taken!!! Thirty some years ago, we were living out in the country. One day, we had tar put on our dirt road. I had told my then 5 yo son not to get near it. Well, when I came home he had tar from head to toe although not quite covering him completely. I had to clean him up with kerosene. I was fearful he would get poisoned by the kerosene. Of course, he got some spanking afterwards for disobeying a direct command. Gerry P.S. I hope that paint was water-based!!! Quote
Administrators Gail Posted August 8, 2006 Administrators Posted August 8, 2006 You could have covered him with feathers and had some fun with that until the authorities came... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Amelia Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 If I had done that as a child I would be dead and no picture to remember the day. SMAN Posted August 9, 2006 Author Posted August 9, 2006 Hi Fran - sorry you missed me. Been trying out the beta site and leaving a few posts over there. Besides, it never occurred to me to do that. That would have been neat though. I did take a picture of him, but it's in some box in storage right now. Gerry Quote
Fran Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Poor kids! They aren't able to understand "CSI"! Those feet and finger prints are real eye openers. I wonder if someone told them that the floor color change is not good. That CSI Team is gonna be really mad! Fran Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 SMAN; Your forgiven! When will we all be transformed; in the twinkling of the eye? "How long does a *BETA's* live?" I should become one to really give everyone a run for their life. I am sure I would probably destroy all the work everyone has done! Forget Murphy's law! Fran's law can break anything!
