Amelia Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Set up a desk and chair in an elevator, like an office, and when someone rings and the door opens, you ask "Do you have an appointment?" <img src="/adventist/images/graemlins/seenoevil.gif" alt="" /> Quote <p><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">"Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you."</span></span> Eph 4:29</span><br><br><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetemp_both/US/OR/Fairview.gif" alt="Fairview.gif"> Fairview Or</p>
Moderators Nan Posted August 19, 2006 Moderators Posted August 19, 2006 [:"blue"] And then try some of these [/] Page yourself over the intercom. (Don't disguise your voice) Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "IN." Put decaff in the coffee maker for three weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine addictions, switch to espresso. While sitting at your desk, soak your fingers in Palmolive. Put mosquito netting around your cubicle. Every time someone asks you to do something , ask if they want fries with that. Determine how many cups of coffee is "too many". Develop an unnatural fear of staplers. Send E-mail messages that advertise free pizza, doughnuts, etc., in the break room. When people complain that there was nothing there, lean back, rub your stomach, and say "You've got to be faster than that." When driving colleagues around, insist on keeping your windshield wipers running during all weather conditions to keep 'em tuned up. Quote
darlene Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 I tried the one about paging myself over the intercom. I had many people in the office come and stick their heads around my door with very puzzled looks on their faces and asking if I was in and who was it that paged me? Was fun to do! <img src="/adventist/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Thanks for the other suggestions. I'll have to try some of them! Fits my sense of humour.... <img src="/adventist/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted August 20, 2006 Members Posted August 20, 2006 Something I've done when someone wants to chew me out is to stand there and listen....but focus on their mouth. Kinda tilt your head. Pretty soon they forget what they're saying and wonder what you're staring at. <img src="/adventist/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Amelia Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 At one of my stores I once paged myself saying "Atten Amelia, your mind is lost and looking for you".
