Mountain Views is an official, quarterly, publication of the Rocky Mountain Conference (RMC), which is available by mail and by digital form on the Internet.   It typically contains discussion of issues important to Adventism today that are well beyond the boundaries of the RMC.  Specific articles are written by Respected International SDA leaders (Current issue: Reinder Bruinsma & Nathan Brown) as well as individual congregational members.  The current issue is devoted to “Adventism & Non-Conformity.”  The current issue may be accessed at the first website listed below and other back issues may be accessed at the 2^nd website listed below.

Mic Thurber is President of the Rocky Mountain Conference.  In the current issue of Mountain Views he tells a story of his father moving to a position in the Texas Conference in which he would be working for SDA youth.   Early on a member asked him for a position on guitars in a church service.  He got the man’s attention when he stated that he was more concerned about another aspect of the church service than playing a guitar.  With his tongue firmly planted in his check his father said:  “Every bar in the country has a piano in yet we allow it in our churches.”
