Nicodema Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Stan if you're looking for stuff to purge to get things running faster & smoother, check to see whether your DB for the forum stores stuff like search results, search word matches, etc. These can safely be trashed and you'll get a LOT of space back. Stan Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 We have a lot of server space left, only 9% of that is being used.. If I understand things right, those searches are not kept in the mysql, as there are folders for that. Those searches are not kept. The server keeps on going down as it gets overheated, something is funny there. I just deleted one thread that as geting 6,000 views per day, and it did nothing. something is funny there. Will have to see what kind of a difference that would make, it was a large php file. I have aquired a part of another server that we are trying to transfer clubadventist.com to.
