Nicodema Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 ... and you know what that means. But only if you've been paying attention. If you haven't, no big whoop. Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Eliot
Clio Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Skipping to music.... "It's the most won-der-ful time of the year...." This would be.... BACK TO SCHOOL! All those lovely young minds, soaking up the "larnin'" as Granny Mac used to say.... I find that I have to work much harder to assist in keeping their minds open when they go to school than during the summer. So many teachers slam closed doors in the mind while trying to force open windows better left closed.... Quote A heart where He alone has first place.
aldona Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Here in Australia September means spring...the flowers are blooming, the air has less "bite" in it, there are baby lambs in the fields as I drive to work, and when I go outside to water the plants on the porch in the morning the bucket of water is no longer frozen. aldona Quote www.asrc.org.au (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Melbourne)Helping over 2000 refugees & asylum seekers each monthIMSLP/Petrucci Music LibraryThe Public Domain Music Score Library - Free Sheet Music DownloadsLooking for classical sheet music? Dottie Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 I guess each of us in every different place has a different view. Here's it's the constant listening for the weather--is the soon-to-be-hurricane headed our way? Is it changing direction, etc., etc., etc. I liked it better when we lived up north and looked forward to the first frost, the birds flying south, the leaves turning, and finally a breeze and being able to open the windows and let it flow through the house. Nicodema Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 For me it is a magickal, darkly sparkling time of year. There's just something in the air in September and October, especially October. It usually passes around the end of the first week in November for me. But this is a time I get very creative, mystical, visionary, wild, untamed and free. I also tend not to sleep. LOL Quote "After such knowledge, what forgiveness?" -- T.S. Eliot

Amelia Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 A stat for the coming fall. Here in my part of Oregon, during June we get 16 hours of daylight. Right now in the first part of Sept we are down to 13 hours of daylight. Come Dec we will be at a mere 9 hours of daylight. So long sun. Hope you have a great vacation in Oz.
