Administrators Naomi Posted September 19, 2006 Administrators Posted September 19, 2006 Amelia, The easiest, quickest way is to make it like pie dough (not quite as rich) but don’t put any salt in it. Roll it out and cut into squares with pizza cutter. Naomi Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
cricket Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 1 cup finely ground flour (preferably whole grain) 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons cold water 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil Stir flour and salt together. Pour the water into the oil, but do not stir. Add this to the dry ingredients and mix with a fork until all the flour is dampened. Roll out between two sheets of waxed paper to the thickness of thick pie pastry. Place on an ungreased, floured baking sheet, and mark off witha sharp knife into bite-sized squares, being careful to prick each square to prevent blistering. Bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 15 minutes. Watch carefully during the last five minutes to prevent burning. Serves 50 persons. (Seventh-day Adventist Elder's Handbook, pp. 167-168) Quote

cricket Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I know. But, I've heard it said so many times before. I had to look up the ingredients and know for myself if it would be an accpetable alternative. I didn't mean to offend. Quote
Amelia Posted September 22, 2006 Author Posted September 22, 2006 well they didn't turn out quite right. maybe I used the wrong kind of flour or something. But I will take them anyway. Probably not be asked to make them again.
