If sexual abusers of children were put to death by state sanctioned execution, we wouldn't have to include them in this conversation. On the other hand, "abuse" now casts such a wide net, perhaps mental health professionals who profit by having a larger pool of victims/survivors need to be reined in. I recently learned about adult "grooming," spawning a new pool of victims for mental health professionals to profit from.

People who profit from the misfortunes of others are also abusers. Vulnerable, dependent, dysfunctional people can migrate from one form of exploitation to another quite easily. The path from "survivor" to "client" is a few short steps.
