I think we better leave them in the water where they belong and put originally by God. It is only logical to think that although God does not inspire Moses to give an account of this, the fish must have survived in the water. Do we all know how powerful the flood was? The rush of water? It destroyed pieces of the earth under the sea! God didn't say "Well fish breathe different than us, so..." Genesis 6:17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish. I don't even understand how there is even a debate about this, how you can think that fish weren't destroyed? Here's what I think, Gen 6:7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Gen 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. These verses clearly state that all flesh on the earth and has the breath of life would be destroyed by a flood. I think it would be easy for God to keep any fish or water mammal alive duing the flood. If He could keep 3 Hebrew boys from buring in fire He certainly can keep those alive. Another question came to mind while reading these posts. Will there be birds left alive after Jesus brings us to heaven?
