The fire has been labeled as suspicious because bystanders at the 800 block of Youngs Lane fire told investigators that homeless people have been seen near the building, said District Fire Chief Charles Shannon. The building did not have electrical power, adding to the suspicion that someone could have started the blaze, Shannon said. Investigators so far do not suspect arson, Shannon said. Dottie Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 It could have been some sort of storage shed, etc. The homeless often start fires to keep warm, not intending for them to get out of hand. As warm as it is down here, there are homeless-started fires in the winter, as facilites for the homeless do not have beds for all those who need them. Quote
