Dr. Shane Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Shopping malls are like secular temples that allow worshippers to gather and offer up their income as a sacrifice for material goods. Consider the architecture and the finishes. The floors are paved with granite and marble. Storefronts have floor to ceiling windows of tempered glass. Climate control heats, or cools, large spaces. Thousands of distractions are used to proselytize Christians into giving up the peace and joy offered by the Savior. Materialism promises happiness but delivers very temporary results. Then, one must go back and buy more and more... Shopping addiction is more common than drug addition. Our economy is driven my consumerism.
