Reading the link that Shane provided gives us additional, important information.  One of those points is that the cited drug also had side effects that could cause death.  That is very important.  I consider it to be important that it seemingly is only useful in people who have a specific genetic defect.  That needs further study.

The following website gives additional information on this susbject.  It should be pointed out that a success rate of 18 people out of a group of 60 people is far to low to consider it a cure.  However, it is a clear indication that additional work is needed to include trials on much larger groups of people.

Isn't that always the case? They find a "supposed cure" and there always seems to be side effects that sometimes are even worse than the thing it's suppose to cure!!
