Hope Channel and The Chosen

Ty Gibson and David Asscherick's new program "Story Encounters" is now running on the Hope Channel.  The program views episodes of the hit TV series "The Chosen" and the two discuss the theology on display.  The Chosen focuses on Christ's disciples and tries to give the view an idea of what it was like to have followed Christ as they did.  Most of the programs are backstories that come out of the imagination of Dallas Jenkins, the program's director, and his creative writers.  What is capturing is the loving and gentle spirit demonstrated by Jesus.  Beyond that, the creators of The Chosen have packed much theology into each episode.  The theology closely follows what Adventists believe because the director is an evangelical Christian.
