Mortified!

Here I was doing the dishes when my oldest says she has a head ache. So I run out to the car and glance at her on my way out the door and see her trying to cut the cats fur. I told her thaat she is not to cut Tiger fur and head to the car. I come back and get the IB ready for her to take. Not 5 minutes have passed I call her to come and take the meds. And here she came with her bangs cut. I am not talking about a little bit I am talking with in a inch or less from the scalp. Well I fixed the best I could, but she is going to be teased tomorrow at school. When I started fixing the mess she was crying but I wanted to grow my hair out so I can wear braids. She is just lucky I didn't give her a buzz cut. I

Whoa! Been there, done that (both on the cutting end, and the mothering end). All part of growing up, I guess!

I remember having so much fun cutting my bangs when I was about six - did it repeatedly, I guess - to the point that Mom laid down a rule: You cut your bangs, and there will be CONSEQUENCES!!! I didn't cut them again until I knew what I was doing.

My twins cut each others when they were 5 or 6 ... and some hair as well. They hated the very short cute hair cuts I got for them. Still talk about their boy-cut hair

Oh, Barbara I think I would have gone for the buzz cut! That would have solved that problem for good!
