Just a thought

In Egypt the Children of Israel had a Passover feast for the first time. They had to put the blood of the lamb on their door posts and eat unleavened bread.

When the death angel came, he was coming to destroy all the first born. What would have happened to those Israelites who didn't put blood on their door posts? They would have lost their first born right? That Angel was coming to bring judgment on all who did not have the blood.

Fast forward to Jesus time:

Jesus said, John 12:31 “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.”

1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

Is it possible that God was going to destroy the world then, if Jesus had not died?

Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

If Jesus had turned His back and said “I will not die for this ungrateful people,” what would have happened to the world? Satan would have ruined this world and we would not be here.

I think we all have to praise God for His Son!!!!

Kind of a scary thought Norman. But I agree that if Jesus had decided to not go through with it, God and/or the god head would have had to put this earth out of its misery.
