Forty years ago, tapes by a man named Peter Bieter [sp?] were circulating around Adventism which made similar claims. Not sure if he was SDA but Adventists were listening to him. Bieter's comments included references to Roman Catholicism, essentially saying mass immigration to America from Latin countries [Roman Catholic] was part of a plan to dilute the Protestant ethic in America.
