Hunter told Harvest Fund Management chairman Henry Zhao that he was “sitting” with his dad and the two “would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” according to a July 30, 2017, WhatsApp message disclosed to Congress by IRS whistleblowers who were investigating the first son’s finances.

“Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,” Hunter told Zhao.

“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction.”

The Post has previously reported on Hunter’s extensive overseas business investments — in Russia, China, Romania and Ukraine — as many foreign nationals were drawn into the Biden family’s orbit.

Who was Hunter Biden threatening and why?

Hunter, now 53, was threatening Zhao, a Communist Party official, who has served as chairman of Harvest Fund Management since 2017, and as chairman of Harvest Global Investments Ltd. since 2000, according to Bloomberg.

Zhao in 2013 helped set up Hunter’s investment firm Bohai Harvest RST, known as BHR Partners, with the help of the China-based firms Harvest and Bohai Industrial Investment Fund, as well as Thornton Group LLC and the then-second son’s Rosemont Seneca Partners. Each private equity firm held a 30% share of BHR.

The fund formed 12 days after Hunter had joined then-Vice President Biden aboard Air Force Two for a state visit to Beijing.

According to IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley, Zhao was also an executive with CEFC China Energy at the time and apparently helped Hunter and his associates — including first brother James Biden — further their business with the Chinese energy conglomerate.

The exchange implies that Hunter was concerned he would be shut out of a lucrative opportunity with CEFC chairman Ye Jianming, in which according to Shapley millions of dollars were at stake.

The IRS investigator testified that Hunter in another message vowed to “put this to bed tonight … I can make $5 [million] in salary at any law firm in America.”

“If you think this is about money it’s not,” Hunter reportedly said. “The Bidens are the best I know at doing exactly what the chairman wants from this partnership … let’s not quibble over peanuts.”

What was the Chinese deal all about?

While he had partnered with Zhao in a separate $5 million deal, Hunter sought further funds through a deal with CEFC.

In a May 2017 email from Hunter’s laptop, the China venture would include a percentage stake of “10 held by H for the big guy,” who was identified by his associates James Gilliar and Tony Bobulinski as Joe Biden. Biden family friend Rob Walker was also in on the action.

The associates reportedly chose the investment because, as Bobulinski said, CEFC had “more money than God.”

Ten days after the messages to Zhao in July, the deal went through in a series of payments made to Hunter’s law firm, according to a Senate Republican report.

On Aug. 4, 2017, CEFC Infrastructure Investment paid Owasco P.C. $100,000.375, which was immediately flagged as potential criminal financial activity.

$5 million was subsequently wired from the CEFC subsidiary to Owasco on Aug. 8, 2017, which was later transferred to Hudson West III LLC, where Hunter was later listed as a co-owner.

Hunter’s references to the chairman point to CEFC’s Ye Jianming, whom Zhao said was “willing to cooperate with the [Biden] family” on the Chinese deal, according to Shapley’s testimony.

“He’s basically saying have the director call him, and he’s demanding that he doesn’t call James Biden or Tony [Bobulinski] or Jim Bulger,” Shapley said, referring to business associates of Hunter.

Jianming and CEFC Executive Director Jianjun Zang, also known as “Director Zang,” had first met Hunter in December 2015, according to schedules on his laptop.

 

 

Hunter’s references to the chairman point to CEFC’s Ye Jianming, whom Zhao said was “willing to cooperate with the [Biden] family” on the Chinese deal, according to Shapley’s testimony.

In February 2017, Jianming had hosted Hunter at a private dinner in expectation of their partnership, promising him $10 million annually for at least three years with a return promise of making “introductions alone,” according to another laptop email.

As a token of his goodwill, the CEFC director later gifted Hunter a 3.16-carat diamond worth $80,000.

Christopher Clark, an attorney for the first son, said in a statement Friday that the IRS whistleblowers testimony was “iased and politically motivated” and that the scope of the Justice Department’s investigation into his client’s conduct “covered a period which was a time of turmoil and addiction for my client.”

“Biased and politically motivated, selective leaks have plagued this matter for years. They are not only irresponsible, they are illegal. A close examination of the document released publicly yesterday by a very biased individual raises serious questions over whether it is what he claims it to be,” Clark said.

“It is dangerously misleading to make any conclusions or inferences based on this document.”

“Any verifiable words or actions of my client in the midst of a horrible addiction are solely his own and have no connection to anyone in his family,” he added.

“An extensive, five-year-long investigation conducted by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) concluded this week, which resulted in my client taking responsibility for two instances of misdemeanor failure to file tax payments, as well as a firearm charge, which will be subject to a pretrial diversion agreement. As his attorney through this entire matter, I can say that any suggestion the investigation was not thorough, or cut corners, or cut my client any slack, is preposterous and deeply irresponsible,” Clark concluded.

WASHINGTON — White House spokespeople repeatedly refused to confirm or deny President Biden’s involvement in first son Hunter Biden’s attempt to coerce a Chinese government-linked businessman following the release of an alleged text message in which Hunter said he was “with my father” and threatened retribution.

Amid intense questioning from the White House press corps, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby wouldn’t address the text message or share Joe Biden’s whereabouts when Hunter sent the bombshell missive on July 30, 2017.

The text message was released Thursday by the House Ways and Means Committee after receiving closed-door testimony from IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley, who led the tax fraud investigation of the first son for more than three years, and from another agent on the case since 2018.

The tax agents detailed an alleged coverup by Biden Justice Department officials who allegedly steered the focus away from Joe Biden and blocked felony charges against Hunter, 53, resulting in a probation-only plea deal announced this week.

Rosen asked Kirby if the message “undermine the president’s claim during the 2020 campaign and the reaffirmations of that claim by his two press secretaries since then that he never once discussed his son’s overseas business dealings with him?”

“No,” said Kirby. “And I’m not going to comment further on this.”

When pressed, the NSC rep added: “Let me save you some breath … I’m just not going to address this issue from this podium. I’m just not going to do it.”

“Why not?” a journalist shouted — as Kirby abruptly exited the briefing room and relinquished the podium to Jean-Pierre.

Zhao, chairman of Harvest Fund Management, was a key player in both of the Biden family’s major ventures in China — with the partially state-owned investment fund BHR Partners and the government-linked CEFC China Energy.

CEFC reportedly sent $100,000 to Hunter’s law firm Owasco on Aug. 4, 2017, less than a week after the threatening text message.

CEFC also wired $5 million to the firm Hudson West III on Aug. 8, 2017, according to a 2020 report by Republican-led Senate committees. That entity in turn paid nearly $4.8 million in “consulting fees” to Owasco over the following 13 months, the report said.

Years earlier, the Harvest Fund collaborated with Hunter’s firm Rosemont Seneca Partners in 2013 to launch BHR Partners — just 12 days after the then-second son joined his vice president father aboard Air Force Two for an official trip to Beijing, the Wall Street Journal reported.

During that trip, Hunter introduced Joe Biden to BHR CEO Jonathan Li and Joe Biden later wrote college recommendation letters for Li’s children.

“Kirby wouldn’t answer James’s question… Are you going to answer the question?” New York Times reporter Peter Baker asked Jean-Pierre.

“It’s not an unreasonable question to ask whether the president of the United States was involved, as this message seems to suggest, in some sort of a coercive conversation for business dealings by his son… If he wasn’t, then maybe you should tell us,” he added.

Jean-Pierre claimed that White House counsel’s office spokesman Ian Sams had addressed the matter — though journalists were unable to immediately locate Sams’ response to the text message.

The IRS whistleblowers’ testimony, temporarily overshadowed by media focus on the “search” for survivors of the Titan submersible – which the Navy already knew was crushed Sunday -- was an inflection point signaling that the crimes of the Biden family can no longer be kept under a lid.  The top propaganda media know it, and evidently, President Biden’s White House Counsel also knows it.

Jacqui Heinrich of Fox News noticed this small but very important change in the wording used to deny President Biden’s involvement in the influence peddling racket for which his son Hunter served as bagman.  No longer does President Biden claim, as he so often in the past did, that he “never discussed” business with Hunter. Instead:

This claim: “As we have said many times before, the President was not in business with his son” is obviously false, “Never discussed” was the former line. There now must be solid evidence of such discussion. The denial of being “in business” with Hunter means that the claim now will be that Joe had no formal business relationship with his son. Since “in business” is a vague expression that could be claimed to mean requiring a formal written contract, it is obvious that the defensive line is moving closer to Biden himself, and require quibbling over the definition of being in business together. Because a nod and a wink are the “best” (as in most deniable) way to engage in corrupt activity together, it looks like Biden’s defense is getting desperate.

The Navy had heard the  a sound around the same time Titan stopped communicating.  Oceangate did not report the loss on communication for a while--I don't remember how much time.  So they didn't know what it was. 

And they cannot tell the world it was the Titan because there was no debris. They informed the coast Guard of the area they heard it from

The Titan submerged at 8 a.m. EDT Sunday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

“Once the submersible is launched you will begin to see alienlike lifeforms whizz by the viewport as you sink deeper and deeper into the ocean,” the company wrote on its website when it advertised the expedition. “The descent takes approximately two hours but it feels like the blink of an eye.”

On Sunday, the vessel lost contact with the Polar Prince around 10:45 a.m.

 

 

 

At 5:40 p.m., nearly three hours after the Titan was expected to resurface and nearly eight hours after the last communication, the Polar Prince notified the U.S. Coast Guard that the vessel was overdue, setting off an intense international search and rescue.

After the craft was reported missing, the U.S. Navy analyzed its acoustic data and found an anomaly that was “consistent with an implosion or explosion in the general vicinity of where the Titan submersible was operating when communications were lost,” a senior Navy official later told The Associated Press. Though it wasn’t made public at the time, the Navy passed on that information on Sunday to the Coast Guard, which continued its search because the Navy did not consider the data to be definitive, according to the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive technology.

The media does all they can to make light of Biden and his lies, his denial that he had never discussed Hunter's business with him. And place the focus  anywhere but Biden. That is showing a little change, a trickle by comparison to what they do to Trump. Trump certainly would not qualify for the boy scout award but one very important difference. Trump is not president.

Government Whistleblower Email is Damning for DOJ / Bidens & Garland

An email presented to the House Committee investigating the Biden cover up through the DOJ and the FBI released an email showing that the Department of Justice purposefully turned a blind eye with reference to witness testimony in order to protect the Big Guy, President Joe Biden and demanded that IRS investigations be stymied. 

Two IRS whistleblowers told Congress in closed-door testimony released Thursday that the Justice Department waged a coverup in the tax fraud investigation of first son Hunter Biden, revealing stunning details of alleged interference and new evidence indicating President Biden was involved in his son’s foreign dealings.

Among the shocking details made public by the House Ways and Means Committee:  *The Hunter Biden probe was opened in November 2018 off the back of an investigation the IRS was conducting of a “foreign-based amateur online pornography platform,” according to whistleblower Gary Shapley. The first son was given the code name “Sportsman” by investigators.

 

Delaware US Attorney David Weiss sought to bring federal charges against Hunter, 53, in the Central District of California and in Washington, DC, last year and was denied both times by Biden-appointed US attorneys Martin Estrada and Matthew Graves, respectively.

According to the second whistleblower, who has remained anonymous, the investigation covered the years 2014 through 2019, during which Hunter and his “associates” received approximately $17.3 million from Ukraine, Romania and China — with the first son alone scooping $8.3 million.

Investigators pressed for felony charges against Hunter for ducking $2.2 million in tax payments — rather than misdemeanors announced Tuesday as part of a probation-only plea deal.

 

Assistant US Attorney Lesley Wolf discouraged investigators from pursuing lines of questioning related to Joe Biden, saying at one point that there was “no specific criminality,” according to Shapley.

The revelation that Biden appointees blocked charges against his son is politically explosive because Attorney General Merrick Garland testified under oath to Congress earlier this year that Weiss was empowered to bring charges outside of Delaware. Intentionally misleading Congress is a crime. Garland just wanted to claim plausible deniability.

Weiss, who signed off this week on the Delaware plea deal, sought to be appointed special counsel in the case at least twice,  including as recently as spring 2022 but was turned down by the Biden Justice Department, both whistleblowers alleged.
