*  Recently I received an e-mail from a former co-worker requesting help in sending a gift care to another person near death from cancer.

*  I noted a very slight change in the e-mail address and I sent a note to the person, at their correct address informing them that they had been hacked.

*  I immediately got a return, from the correct address, informing me that the original request was good.

*  Today I got another return telling me that indeed they had been hacked.

The bottom line to all of this is that the scammers had the ability to read all of that e-mail traffic between us and to immediately respond  with a new fake message.

Scammers are getting more and more deceptive.
