Joe Knapp Posted April 4 Posted April 4 That article said it took them 20 years to build that church, because the city fought them. This is America now. Cities run by secular people who do not want tax-free non-profits in their town. Quote

Joe Knapp Posted April 7 Posted April 7 That's why it took 20 years. I had experience with this in Michigan. One township bankrupted a Baptist church with legal fees. One new church I was working on, they wanted two retention ponds. Huge parking lot. Many more RIDICULOUS things. The only way around it was to take them to court and get it struck down. Quote
Members phkrause Posted April 10 Author Members Posted April 10 If the city had a problem with this Pr Doug would've said so!! I recall when they where in the process the only problem was the funding, according to Pr Doug. Also if I'm not mistaken he also had really big plans and that and the funding is what made it take so long?? Also if I'm not mistaken he didn't want to owe any money at all, again I'd have to get verification on that, but I believe the article mentions something to that??
