Scarcely a day goes by that someone does not attempt to falsely obtain financial information from me, in the name of some company.   All of your large companies have fully developed departments to combat that fraud.  I have such a list that I often use.  One example is Amazon which takes reports at:  <stop-spoofing@amazon.com>    To use such services simply forward the fraudulent message to the appropriate e-mail address.  There is also one central U.S. government agency, the FBI, that investigates such messages.  Send such fraudulent messages to:

<www.ic3@gov>   NOTE: In the above delete the <  >

My Amazon account was hacked and charges made. Amazon notified me my account had been compromised. I was promised a full refund in a email and from there it went down hill from there.  Took almost three weeks, repeated almost daily contact on my part. They made it as tough as possible. Each time I was expected to provide all details again, even those they gave me the details first. Finally I refused to give them anything more and just told them the money better be refunded sooner rather than later.  Shortly after received an email apology for the way I had been treated and money refunded
