Amelia Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Brothel converted into church ananova.com A church set up in a former brothel is welcoming back former customers. The rundown building in Chatham, Kent, was turned into an evangelical church by pastors Rhoda and Emmanuel Ikotun. Mr Ikotun said it had been welcomed by residents and even former brothel customers had attended the church. "There is a guy who came to me last week and said he used to come here before, but now he's heard about it (the church) and is very happy. "He said what God has done in this place, you want God to do in this life." The Ikotuns spent thousands of pounds on the renovation without fully realising the building's former purpose. "We didn't know what the use was. We were just told it was a massage parlour," Mrs Ikotun said.
