Adventist Today is looking to hire a person for the following position:

 

Here is the Job Description: Job Title: News Editor (Contract) Job Summary: A critical role in shaping and delivering Adventist News, this contract position requires a highly organized and results-oriented news editor. You will play a key part in researching, writing, and editing compelling news content for Adventist Today. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or a related field (preferred). Experience in journalism or content creation. Research and investigative journalism skills. Writing and editing skills with an eye for accuracy and commitment to deadlines. Familiarity with the Seventh-day Adventist community and culture. Hours p/wk: Flexible (with core working hours/deadlines to meet weekly and monthly deliverables) Responsibilities and Duties: Content Creation: Write 4 news stories per week. Contribute a set news briefs (typically five items) for publication once per week. Conduct in-depth research and write one major investigative journalism story per month (4,000-5,000 words). Website Management: Upload all completed pieces to the Adventist Today website. Editorial Skills: Apply editing skills to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines. Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of all Adventist Today information, including unpublished content, internal communications, and business plans. Compensation: $2,000 per month (equivalent to $24,000 annually) Benefits: This is a contract position; benefits are not included.
