Asus-Lamborghini VX1

Laptops are turning into hot rods--heck, some of them are literally crashing and burning. Asus-Lamborghini's VX1 laptops come in shiny yellow or sleek black, and both look like they should come with Turtle Wax and a chamois. The notebook is thin and light, about an inch thick and 5.4 pounds, with a 15-inch screen. No question it's stylish, but as for speed, it runs on an Intel Core Duo processor, which may well be outraced by the new generation of Core 2 Duo chips. If you can't resist that hardtop, the VX1 retails for about $2,700, which is ever so much less expensive than the car.
