The issue affected Microsoft 365 apps and services, and escalating disruptions continued hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing it. Read more. Recent developments: Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said Friday that an issue that caused the major disruptions is not a security incident or cyberattack. CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz said in a statement on X that the issue had been identified and a fix had been deployed. Paris airports have said their computers were working, but Olympics travelers could still face delays. In the U.S., the FAA said the airlines United, American, Delta and Allegiant had all been grounded early Friday while airlines in the U.K., Europe and India also reported problems. The outage affected doctor’s offices across the U.K. Britain’s National Health Service said in a statement said the glitch was hitting the appointment and patient record system used across the public health system. More than 2,335 flights within, leaving or arriving in the U.S. were canceled as of midday Friday. ? Some hospitals canceled or postponed surgeries. Banks couldn't handle money transfers.
