The 12th Amendment to the US Constitution is central to the focus of certain aspects of the political discussion over the past several years.  You can access it on Internet websites.  From a historical perspective, I find it interesting that certain aspects of the political discussion today appear to me to be similar to political actions that occurred during the period around the 1820s.  We do not always learn the lessons of the past.
