To help manage the growing onslaught of visitors, many of the world's most popular global destinations are hiking fees for tourists, Axios' Ivana Saric reports.

  • New Zealand this week became the latest in an increasing number of tourist hotspots to impose new fees on tourists.

?️ Bali, Venice, Amsterdam and Lisbon all either instituted or hiked tourist fees this year. Barcelona has raised its tourist taxes several times recently and may raise them again soon.
