The unofficial start of fall has a date: Aug. 26, when Starbucks will resurrect the Pumpkin Spice Latte, Axios' Kelly Tyko reports. This year's launch date is four days later than last year's, and marks the latest release since 2022. The PSL's return comes as the "Summerween" trend has retailers stocking Halloween candy and decorations on their shelves earlier and earlier in the year. Go deeper.

I caught (and released!) two. The guide sagely advised that during fish tales back at the lodge, I describe my humbling pair as "a good few." ? We flew into Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, on the east coast of Canada, then took an hour chopper ride into a cell-free zone. I reached the glorious spot in the photo above via a canoe, then an all-terrain vehicle plus a hike. I learned all about a culture of people dedicated to protecting and restoring salmon in the face of climate change + pollution from commercial fish farms. Go deeper: Salmon.info has the story.
