Adventist News Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 We have just received this information from Fred Kinsey, NAD communication director. You may of heard of the Moorpark fire in California which is still burning and out of control because of strong winds. This is very near the Adventist Media Center, but it is not currently in danger since the fire is to the west of the Center and the wind is blowing west. However, you might also have heard that five homes have been completely destroyed so far. Three of these homes belonged to Adventists. On this year's NAD Christmas show one segment features a children's choir. One of the little boys in the choir belongs to one of the families that lost their home. Marshall Chase, the manager of the Media Center, says that while the fire is blowing in the direction of his home, it is not in danger at the present time though it is covered in ash. -- Fred Kinsey NAD Communication Quote
aldona Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 We'll certainly be praying for the folks in the fire areas. I didn't think it was the season for wild fires in the US yet! aldona Quote www.asrc.org.au (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Melbourne)Helping over 2000 refugees & asylum seekers each monthIMSLP/Petrucci Music LibraryThe Public Domain Music Score Library - Free Sheet Music DownloadsLooking for classical sheet music?
