Adventist Members Among Deceased in South Korea Plane Crash

Several Seventh-day Adventist church members are among the deceased in the plane crash that occurred at Muan International Airport in the South Jeolla Province, South Korea, on December 29. Leaders at the Korean Union Conference (KUC) issued a statement to express their condolences and ask church members around the world to pray for the bereaved.

Adventist Church Releases Statement on South Korea Plane Crash

We were greatly saddened to learn of the horrific crash of a Jeju Air flight on its final approach into the Muan International Airport in South Korea on December 29. The crash resulted in the loss of 179 lives, including members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as those with ties to a local Adventist school, including two students and their parents, according to an article by Adventist Review.

Adventist Food Factory Rushed to Assist Bereaved Families in South Korea

Sahmyook Foods, a Seventh-day Adventist food company in South Korea, is providing assistance and support to the bereaved families of the December 29 plane crash at Muan International Airport. A local Adventist school, which lost two students in the crash, is also creating special memorials to commemorate the deceased.

Adventists Among Victims in South Korea’s Deadliest Plane Crash in Decades

On December 29, 2024, a Jeju Air flight traveling from Bangkok, Thailand, to the Muan International Airport in South Korea tragically crashed during its final approach, resulting in the loss of 179 lives. Among the victims were members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as well as those with ties to a local Adventist school.
