Members phkrause Posted April 20, 2025 Members Posted April 20, 2025 The recent participation of prominent Seventh-day Adventist figures at the Wisdom Pearl event, where they shared a stage with political commentator Charlie Kirk, marks a disheartening and dangerous moment for the Adventist Church in America. While some may brush it off as a non-political act of engagement, the implications of this partnership run deep, cutting into the soul of a church that has long claimed a legacy of justice, inclusion, and neutrality in the face of partisan ideology. https://atoday.org/when-silence-becomes-complicity-what-adventist-partnership-with-charlie-kirk-signals-to-the-world/ ps:Exactly!! Gustave Posted April 20, 2025 Posted April 20, 2025 I've seen some videos recently where Charlie Kirk reasons with students at colleges who believe men can be women and get pregnant - I would have thought that SDA's would generally approve of the sort of traditional logic that asserts that males are not females and by default can't become pregnant? That is not necessarily true any longer. It is slow creep . Maybe because I live in ultra liberal MN the idea of transgenderism seems to be gaining ground. I have several Catholic in-laws and acceptance of that seems also to be growing within the Catholic Chruch. My husband and I sacrificed a great deal to keep our boys in our schools and considered it well worth the cost. We had three at one time in the academy. Would I do so today. HIghly doubtful Quote
Gustave Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 It very well has crept into some locations - at my location LGBT is viewed (at best) as a disordered condition - order being more in line with what God originally wanted for us as people. Quote
