Wishing you a blessed Second Passover (Pesach Sheni)!

"Have the Israelites celebrate the Passover at the appointed time. Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with all its rules and regulations." (Numbers 9:2–3)

The Day of Second Chances

Pesach Sheni (Second Passover) began last night at sundown.

What makes this holiday unique among all the other Jewish holidays is that God gave it in response to all the Israelites who missed Passover because they were ritually unclean.

"But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean ... but why should we be kept from presenting the Lord's offering with the other Israelites at the appointed time?"
(Numbers 9:6-7)

Pesach Sheni (Second Passover) is a wonderful picture of missed opportunity and the merciful nature of God.

Although God had set the time for Passover on Nissan 14, He revealed through Pesach Sheni that it is never too late to worship and thank the Lord for His miracles and mercy.

Pesach Sheni reminds us that God also Passes Over our problematic circumstances and the mistakes we make in life: He is the God of Second Chances.

While we are not required to thoroughly clean our houses of chametz (yeast
products) to celebrate the Second Passover, we are required to eat
matzah (unleavened bread) while celebrating this holiday.

The Second Passover has a prophetic aspect, as well.

Perhaps the ultimate second chance is God's end-time gathering of Israel, coupled with Israel's end-time spiritual restoration.

"I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD.  They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart."  (Jeremiah 24:7)

You can be a part of this end-time move of God by helping us bring the Word of God to the Jewish People.
