Asia Joe Posted July 26, 2025 Posted July 26, 2025 In the USA the government is promoting Real Id: Quote REAL ID is a federal law that sets security standards for state-issued driver's licenses and identification cards, which are required for boarding domestic flights and accessing certain federal facilities starting May 7, 2025. To obtain a REAL ID, you must provide specific documents to your state's driver’s licensing agency, and the ID will have a star marking to indicate compliance. tsa.gov Wikipedia So, according to the government, it is a simple star on the driver's license. What could be the harm? What people don't understand is, it's a national database. By law, the federal government cannot use the Social Security database. They know people will not agree to this if they know the truth. So they set up a sneaky way to get the states to get people to volunteer to sign up for this system, telling them you cannot travel on airplanes without it. In 34 states, you can opt out. But only if you tell them you want to opt out. Around the world, governments are adopting national databases to track their citizens. Most are voluntary. Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted July 26, 2025 Moderators Posted July 26, 2025 I am not worried about the Real ID. I am much more concerned about the U.S. going to a digital currency. President Biden first launched this idea in 2022. See: https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/11/tech/us-digital-dollar-cbdc There is much on the Internet, on this idea. President Trump is giving much study to this idea and seems to be quite supportive of doing so. Quote Gregory
Asia Joe Posted July 27, 2025 Author Posted July 27, 2025 But Gregory, they are directly linked. Also, the GenX like the idea of digital currency. GenZ love the digital currency. It's already a thing in Asia. My GenZ children can receive money from their aunt in Australia in seconds. Then they can spend it online shopping (similar to Amazon), or government fees, local stores or instantly transfer it to the debit card and cash it out. It's available, and in use, to 4 billion people in Asia. The younger people use it the most. Some banks in Australia won't even cash checks. Some are closing branches and removing ATM's. It's here now. Quote
