puddles Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 A co-worker of mine specifically ask me to put out for prayer, a couple she and her husband have been very good friends with. This couple have been trying for some time to get pregnant and when they did, it was discovered they would have twins! Angie was due either the end of March or first of April according to my co-worker (so please, all you medical types in the OB field, if this doesn't sound right, realize, I'm only relating 2nd hand info). Anyway, she went for an OB check up and it was discovered she was dialated. To what degree, I've not a clue. However, she was given some kind of steriods and was told the doc's were in hopes of keeping her from delivering for 3 days in hopes the steriods would help the little fellers out. Over the weekend, Angie delivered 2 little boys (via c-section), weighing in just under 2 lbs. From what my co-worker has shared, mother and boys are doing as well as can be expected but my co-worker was MOST adamant about getting folks to pray for this new little family which I find really encouraging considering she nor her husband doesn't claim any type of religion and usually sort of mocks religion as a whole. SO, please keep Drew, Angie, and their 2 little boys (sorry, can't recall their names well enough to even attempt them) in your prayers. It's going to be a very stressful Christmas for this little family I'm afraid with the boys in the hospital and the shadow of uncertainty hanging over head for a while yet. Also, like my co-workers, I don't think these new parents are the religious type either so, please pray for their spiritual health as well. Thanks all! :PR Quote
Members phkrause Posted December 19, 2006 Members Posted December 19, 2006 Added them to our prayer list. pkrause Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators Nan Posted December 19, 2006 Moderators Posted December 19, 2006 I will certainly pray for them. It sounds as though the babies must be about 14 plus weeks early, which is getting down to the limits of survival for twins, and that weight is quite good for that gestation. Quote
Administrators Gail Posted December 19, 2006 Administrators Posted December 19, 2006 Wow- Will send up a little prayer right now!! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
puddles Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 Sad news I'm afraid. One of the boys died this afternoon apparently and the other one is clinging to life. Please keep this family close to your heart. Thanks Quote
puddles Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 From what my co-workers have shared, the family is holding a memorial service this weekend for the one little boy that passed away. I inquired about the other one and apparently he has gone under some type of brain surgery already ( :duno Is this possible on such a little baby?). He has only been given a 25% chance of making it. Please keep Drew and Angie covered in prayer, I can't imagine the heartbreak they are experiencing. Quote
