Members phkrause Posted August 19, 2025 Members Posted August 19, 2025 Very interesting article! I to have wondered about how this new tech called AI would help in spreading the word!! Especially with the statement about "Even the very elect will be deceived!" Adventists, inspiration, and navigating AI When Daniel was instructed to “seal the book until the time of the end” and told that “many shall go to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” (Dan. 12:4), could he have imagined artificial intelligence (AI)? Doubtful. But here we are. https://adventistreview.org/perspectives/culture/when-knowledge-increases/ Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Asia Joe Posted August 29, 2025 Posted August 29, 2025 Quote “many shall go to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” (Dan. 12:4), could he have imagined artificial intelligence (AI)? Doubtful. Well, I don't think he imagined anything. It is prophecy. I believe AI was described in that verse. Quote These AI systems can process more information in minutes than our forebears could examine in lifetimes. They’re accelerating scientific discovery, democratizing knowledge, and making it accessible to anyone with an internet connection. I don't agree. They are powerful, getting more powerful, but not there yet. I don't see them in any scientific discovery. They are reading many peoples writings. Very good at regurgitating that. Very good at summarizing. Excellent at outlines. Democratizing knowledge,? , I don't think so. They appear to be biased. Ask them about Tiananmen Square. Quote Could these knowledge tools be part of heaven’s provision for finishing the work? Seems like it will be a tool for the devil to me. I am not against it. I use it all the time, but it seems like people could easily be deceived by it. Quote Imagine having help identifying connections you’ve never noticed before between passages, understanding historical context that enriches your study, or creating personalized study plans that address your specific spiritual needs. I am not going to use it for that. If you want to, go ahead. Quote This honors Sister White’s emphasis on deep Bible study while expanding our capacity to see the beautiful connections woven throughout God’s Word. I don't agree. I am sure if EGW were alive today, she would not approve of this. I disagree with Mr Baker. I am not going to finish reading his work. I have seen enough. Quote
