Hi all I thought you might want to see Story Of Redemption Online Book I have started http://www.thestoryofredemption.com .

Of course I was working on the documentary but now Amazing Facts is doing the exact same thing so their is no reason to do two versions. So I decided to put the website to good use and creat a very graphical Story Of Redemption Online Book. I will also start adding video and animation to it when I get the basic book done. Oh and it will be a condensed version thats faced paced for those new Christians that its made for. And of course I will offer PDF downloads of the complete uncondensed books:)

Sulla, I enjoy your creative thinking and creativity. A nice touch might be a narrator and some background music/sound effects. Seeing the words that are spoken would tend to have a greater impact on the memory, I believe. I will buy your book if you put it on a DVD.

You probably can't compete with the large SDA organizations with lots of money to produce major projects, but producing a few successful smaller projects of your own may open doors for something bigger in the future.

Lately I've been wondering, who created the animations that John describes in the book of Rev.? Were they 2D or 3D or virtual reality?

Thanks I am glad you liked it. I would like to have a top notch narractor but it would cost thousands of dollers to do the entire book and I have no money at the moment.

Interesting thought about John but I bet it was along the lines of thoughts being sent directly from one mind to another.

I believe someone has allready put voice to that text.. i used to sell it when I was an ABC manager..

Good point Stan I had thought about trying to use that but I am doing a very very condensed version of it. So I would have to cut up the audio and it would not sound right.

But I think I have decided to go ahead and redo the first chapter in Flash. That way I can add music, video, animation etc now.

Last fall I went to the local county fair and saw a non-SDA mother picking up old SDA magazines from the local SDA church's fair booth to give to her children. They were magazines that the booth worker half-jokingly said were going to be thrown away, which was actually true.

I really wished there could have been some quality literature or DVD's to give away or sell covering the major themes of our religion. Using text-to-speech software, I did make an audio CD of the words of Christ, but the synthesized voice was objectionable to my wife so I did not pursue the idea.

A good narrator probably sounds a lot like a network newscaster. I recall producing the background music for a play about Jesus performed in Keene, TX in the late 70's. The voice actor portraying God unfortunately sounded like a DJ or a salesman. The play was based on a book called "The Singer" I believe.

Perhaps you could train yourself to speak like a highly-paid newscaster and save a bundle of money. It's acting, really, acting like you are important and have something important to say by putting some drama into your phrasing and an edge to your voice.

Well I have already done tests on myself and they did not work well. But I have found a very good person to do the job if I ever get the money. I figure if its Gods will the money part will work out:)
