puddles Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Merry Christmas Shane and family! I had 2 dinners to take in today. Dinner #1 Broccoli casserole, mac/cheese, chicken, stuffing, mashed pototoes, gravy, green beans, corn, rolls and a lovely caramel pudding dessert. Dinner #2 Worthington Dinner Roast, veggie subs (with every type of veggie lunch meat you could think of), quite a mixture of regular cheese and veggie cheeses, all kinds of sub toppings (cucumbers, onions, black olives, lettuce, tomato, mayo, soy mayo, etc), a variety of Christmas cookies, fudge, pies, birthday cake (we celebrate the family's "December" birthdays/anniversaries as well as Christmas) and golly a bunch of food that I didn't even have the heart to even try I was so full! Tomorrow, my husband and I are taking my Mother to a local restaurant (aka truck stop) that has an excellent breakfast and are meeting up with my aunt and her daughter and granddaughter. We will also party next weekend when my brother comes home because Jan 1 is our mother's birthday. The holidays are such an amalgamation of food and fellowship for me. Amelia Posted December 25, 2006 Posted December 25, 2006 Well every Christmas eve I take my folks out to my sister and her hubbys place for dinner. Every Christmas eve it's the same thing. Roast pork, brisket and roast turkey. Stuffing, mashed taters and gravy. Homemade firehouse chili. cookies, cookies and more cookies. I eat before I go. But I do have cookies.
