Gustave Posted October 30, 2025 Posted October 30, 2025 Stan, pm me an address to send a donation to - I'm hesitant to these electronic cash transfer sites. I'd run the other direction from the Amazing Facts folks given their anti-trinitarian stance. {Sran, if you do not want to publish to the world your mail address, give it to me and ask that I privately give it to Gustave-GM.] Quote
Hanseng Posted January 23 Posted January 23 If a person goes to ProPublica and does a little research, he/she will discover that the principals of two popular Adventist websites draw annual salaries in the $50,000 range. Both these entities have assets of~$600,000. One entity received ~$350,000 dollars in contributions in 2024, paid out ~$85,000 to its employees. The other received ~$440,000 in contributions, paid out ~ $100,000 in compensation and wages. I'm not suggesting that there is anything wrong, inappropriate, or shady with these numbers, just wondering why ClubAdventist takes in ~10 dollars a month while these other media outlets take in thousands. Joe Knapp Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Quote What if someone like Ron Kelly or Conrad Vine hosted ClubAdventist? You'd likely see an immediate and near miraculous transformation. Controversy does bring crowds. 6 minutes ago, Hanseng said: Both these entities have assets of~$600,000. Which ones are they? Where do they get their money? Individual contributions? Quote
Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted January 24 Moderators Posted January 24 Keep in mind that the central purpose of Club Adventist is to provide a place for people of differing views to discuss them in a civil manner. This generally involves a comparison of differing views. So, yes, we do address LGBTQ issues. However, we do ask that such discussion do not use adverse language in reference to such people. God loves all persons including LGBTQ people. On a personal basis, I am probably a bit more conservative than you might think. I welcome civil discussion here on all issues. Hanseng Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Chaplain Matthews, I believe I owe you an apology, in light of your previous post. It was never my intent to comment on your personal preferences. Perhaps I understood one or more of your posts to be promoting an agenda which I abhor i.e., homosexuality; consequently, I took an extreme position against it and you personally. For that I am sorry. phkrause 1 Quote

I felt a bit guilty for betraying him, so I told him what I had done. One evening, I was walking along a dark street and a carload of guys. with him in the car, drove by real slow, taking a look at me. I reached into the pocket of the oversize coat I was wearing; they drove away. Bluffing might be option when dealing with potential or actual drive by shooters. I was lucky that night. Quote
