Members phkrause Posted November 2, 2025 Members Posted November 2, 2025 Getting health care when you need it can be the difference between life and death, between happiness and misery. It should be a right for everyone, especially in the richest country on earth. https://kypolicy.org/government-shutdown-health-care-subsidies/? The Drs that spent a fortune in education so they have the knowledge to hopefully cure you? The Hospitals with millions of dollars in technology to diagnose you? The nurses who are hands on caring for you after a expensive education? Maybe the drug companies that spend billions in research, they owe you what? How did health care become a right? You(general) do not have a right to demand people provide free anything for you. Rich country or not. If those riches do not belong to you you don't have a right to it. Liberals demonstrate remarkable compassion by advocating for extensive government spending to assist the most vulnerable individuals both domestically and internationally. However, when it comes to personal contributions to charitable causes, liberals are often seen as less inclined to give. Interestingly enough, advocating for government spending is not giving but instead asking for others to give, which tends to be more of the liberal approach. Quote
