What can we do to help the Hurricane Melissa victims in Jamaica, and other islands?

Hurricane Melissa ripped the roofs off 120,000 structures in Jamaica, where many Adventist live, when it struck last week as a Category 5 Hurricane. Crews are still clearing roads in an attempt to reach communities that remain cut off. Half the island remains without power, and we hear Cuba is suffering similarly. What can we do to help? Is there small groups of people flying supplies or can the large aid groups get in with all the damage done.

Pretty sad, prayer is one way to help. Also look around for any churches or groups that are taking donations of clothing, food, etc.!

This is horrible news. A father and daughter were doing what we have been trying to find, a group flying supplies to Jamaica and other islands damaged by Hurricane Mellisa so we can send aid and supplies, and they crashed in Ft Lauderdale. They dont know from what cause yet..

A father and daughter were killed in a small plane crash on Monday in Florida, which was bound for Jamaica on a hurricane relief mission, according to their ministry.

Alexander Wurm, 53, and his 22-year-old daughter, Serena Wurm, died after the aircraft crashed into a waterway in a residential area of Coral Springs, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale.
