Kirk Cameron no longer believes in eternal punishment

Here is Kirk Cameron who has publicly announced a change in his long-held views on Hell. Previously accepting the view of eternal conscious torment for the wicked, he now rejects it, calling such a fate 'cruel and unusual punishment.'
Cameron says that the Bible, especially in its Old Testament writing, does not depict the souls of the wicked as immortal. Instead, the only souls promised eternal life ' immortality' are those granted to believers.

Seems to me from reading this, that he's one of the few that's actually reading and studying his Bible to get to that conclusion!! And yes definitely needs our prays as so many others do!!!
