Key Guy Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 A local church in action From the Skagit Valley, WA, Herald (http://www.skagitvalleyherald.com/articles/2007/01/01/people/people03.txt) Quote: Mount Vernon resident Laurel Roundy knitted 100 baby-size afghans to be included in baby packs given to women who have recently given birth and who are in financial need. The baby packs are prepared by the North Cascade Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Women of Service group. They donate the packs to local physicians and to the Sea-Mar medical clinic to distribute to mothers in need. Several women from the church’s group contribute their talents in creating the packs, which include items such as diapers, pins, baby sweaters, undershirts, sleepers, bottles, infant Tylenol and receiving blankets.
