I remember when I was in HS when living in NYC I was very disappointed that all the games were played on Sabbath. So I could never even go out to try out for the baseball or basketball teams. I never got bitter about it, but was really sad. In my final year of HS I went to Greater New York Academy, but at that time I don't believe we had a sport teams that played in any leagues? We had to many leaders in the church that were so against sports, let alone competitive sports, I figured it would never happen!! I'm glad that we have that now.

Callie Genece’s story caught my attention the most. Because Genece doesn’t go to an Adventist high school, she faced the dilemma of having many games scheduled and played on Sabbaths. In the documentary, she recalled being ridiculed for not playing Saturday games. This decision—one that many Adventist athletes have faced or may someday face—was difficult for Genece.

Just for reference, this is a NAD problem.  In other divisions, Adventist students do not play competitive sports.
