“SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING”: Radical Activists Plan Minneapolis Economic Siege for Friday

A dangerous escalation is brewing in the Twin Cities as anti-ICE protesters announce plans for a massive march and "economic blackout" this Friday, January 23, 2026. Organizers are explicitly calling for a coordinated strike to "shut down businesses" and paralyze the city's economy to force federal immigration agents out of Minnesota.

The Goal: Activists aim to leverage the "power of the pocketbook" to shut down everything from local storefronts to major transport routes.

In viral footage, one speaker warned, “We made this from the ground up! We could take this sh*t down and take it back!” while another told federal agents directly, “Get out of Minnesota”.
