Springsteen headlines Minnesota demonstration Large crowds protested Saturday against the Trump administration in āNo Kingsā rallies across the U.S. and in Europe. Minnesota took center stage, with thousands of people standing shoulder-to-shoulder to celebrate resistance to President Trumpās aggressive immigration enforcement. Roughly 3,300 events were scheduled across the country, with nearly 40 rallies held internationally. See photos from across the US here. The turnout, if confirmed, would make the protests the second-largest in US history. In some cities, organizers put the estimate above officialsā estimatesāfor example, placing turnout in Minnesota at 200,000 people, whereas local officials estimated 100,000. Members phkrause Posted April 2 Author Members Posted April 2 Dozens arrested for failing to disperse after āNo Kingsā rally in Los Angeles Authorities deployed tear gas near a federal detention center and made dozens of arrests following one of thousands of āNo Kingsā rallies held this weekend to protest President Donald Trumpās actions and the war in Iran. Read more. What to know: Los Angeles police said Sunday that 74 people were arrested for failing to heed a dispersal order that was given after Saturdayās rally ended. One other person was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a weapon that police described as a dagger. The arrests stood out from what otherwise were mostly peaceful protests. Organizers said there were more than 3,100 events registered in all 50 U.S. states.
